New Wildlife Art on its Way!

New Wildlife Art on its Way!

I had quite a bad accident in January, in which I broke bones in my leg, tore ligaments and damaged the artery too. I initially spent 5 weeks in hospital, and my leg was pinned with and external fixator. Amazingly the surgeons saved my leg, and I'm so grateful.

Since then, I have been having problems getting mobile, however I am now able to use crutches and things are easier.

I have been in a bed downstairs at home since May, and I have been painting from a tabletop easel beside the bed. Of course this means that I have had to adapt. I'm therefore using acrylic paints now( no fumes!) and Im painting smaller size canvases. This Kingfisher piece " April Shower" is 50 x 50 cm. I would like to produce him as a print, what do you think?

I intend to bring out a few of my recent works as prints in the next few weeks and in the meantime I'm busily finishing some more.

By the way, if you're wondering how I managed to make such a mess of my leg? I was playing Pickleball.   The lady at the hospital misheard and so, on my notes it says that I broke my leg playing Peekaboo!
